A Couple Projects
While we are moving forward with progress towards re-opening the Local, we have a couple projects for some bands out there!
- SATURDAY JULY 12, Flint Skate Park
There are a couple bands needed to perform a free gig. Send me a message if you are interested.
- FRIDAY AUGUST 15, Genesee County Fair Battle of the Bands
The Local is once again hosting this event held at the Genesee County Fair! We need up to 10 bands, first prize is $300.00, but every band gets at least $50.00. It is open to all bands whose members are 19 years old and under and (preferably) live in Genesee County. Bands from outside will be considered, but Genesee County bands get first preference. Email flintbooking@comcast.net if you would like more information or an entry form.
More to come soon!

Dear Friends of Flint Local 432
It is becoming more and more apparent that 2008 is going to be our year. The club is moving towards renovating our new space and reopening, but first we want to hear from you. If the Local was ever important in your life, please take five minutes and tell us why. What impact did the venue have on you, your band, your friends, or your future? If you're just now finding out about the 432 and looking forward to going to shows, let us know why. Fill us in on how you spend your weekends, and how the Local will change that.
As we work to generate community support we need to do a better job of telling our story. And when you get down to it, our story is just a thousand memories like yours. We look forward to your comments and your suggestions - they will help us create the Local that we've all been waiting for. Please send your responses to flintlocal432@gmail.com.
Thanks,
Wade, Joel and the 432 Crew

The Basics
The Flint Local 432 is an all ages, not-for-profit, substance free music venue located in historical Downtown Flint.
Flint Local 432 is the culmination of an unbroken line of concerts that run from mid-80s punk superstars Black Flag, 7Seconds and ALL; to groundbreaking bands such as Fugazi, Superchunk, and Spitboy; right up to today's hardest touring acts like the Suicide Machines, Mustard Plug, Less Than Jake, Coheed & Cambria, Avenged Sevenfold, and Yellowcard.
We've done this for over twenty years.
We know what we're doing.
Flint Local 432 was founded to provide a venue for local bands to play, and that remains our primary focus. We accommodate national, regional, and state bands when possible, but there is no guarantee we will be able to get you on a show. If you want to ensure you get booked, the easiest way is to find a show in your town for a Flint band to play. Show trades rule.
